SeaPort-e Web Portal
To increase efficiency, the NAVSEA Warfare Centers established the Seaport Enhanced (SeaPort-e) Multiple Award Contract (MAC) vehicle, using a web-based, e-business procurement Portal, to facilitate performance-based service acquisition, leverage buying power, improve business intelligence and reduce cycle time. In October 2004, the Virtual SYSCOM Commanders formalized an agreement to expand the ordering community of SeaPort-e to include all Virtual SYSCOM activities and to leverage the success of SeaPort-e in achieving the Navy's objectives across the Virtual SYSCOM. Additionally, other Navy activities, including the Military Sealift Command, Strategic Systems Programs, and the United States Marine Corps have chosen to use SeaPort Enhanced.
The Cubic SeaPort-e Team, in response to task orders issued under this contract by the Naval Sea Systems Command, Naval Air Systems Command, Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command, Naval Supply Systems Command, Military Sealift Command, Naval Facilities Command, Strategic Systems Programs, and the United States Marine Corps, provide services that potentially span the entire spectrum of mission areas supported by the activities and technical capabilities that comprise the various ordering offices. Additionally, activities may provide limited support under this contract to other Department of Defense (DoD), non-DoD, or Joint agencies for work that is integrally related to product areas and mission. Services provided under this contract may include new product areas, programs, or missions assigned to these activities during the life of the contract.
Cubic Applications, Inc. (CAI), has assembled a SeaPort-e Team made up of sister divisions and large and small business partners to provide extensive capabilities in all seven zones of the U.S. as defined by the SeaPort-e solicitation. CAI, combined with Cubic Worldwide Technical Services, Inc., Cubic Defense Applications, Inc., and Cubic Simulation Systems, Inc., as well as our large and small business partners has formed a competitive team capable of meeting virtually all SeaPort-e requirements.
CAI's management structure and comprehensive task order process provide the experienced management and technical personnel together with proven best practices needed for success. Our process is responsive, scalable, and suitable for integrating, processing and executing numerous simultaneous task orders in concert with multiple subcontractors. All members of Cubic's SeaPort-e Team have extensive experience managing Navy and DoD contracts, and have developed effective working relationships with Government Program Managers and Contracting Officers. As a result of these proven relationships, we have developed a mutual respect which in-turn improves the shared working environment between Government and contractor personnel.
